Welcome to OUR nightmare! I’m the maternal grandmother of a beautiful little angel; she will be 2 years old in October. My family and I have been in a legal battle to remove my granddaughter from her current foster care placement nearly two years now.
I have been evaluated and passed inspection twice in the last two years; per CPS you must have an evaluation once a year. (However Foster parents do not) I had visitation monthly with my granddaughter which expanded to overnight weekends increasing to a week stay. Since I hired an attorney to assist I have had my visitations striped down to 1 time a month SUPERVISE in the CPS office for 1 hour. NO reason provided on why this was done. We have placed 388’s against the foster parent for many reasons one that includes “convicted criminals (relatives )living with the foster parent. Contempt of court orders, the foster parent confessed to lying to the court however my granddaughter is still with this person? WHY? great question which we are still asking.
