My Family is in need, I don’t even know if this organization could help with my situation? My sister recently got her parental rights taken from her I believe under unlawful reasons, but my family not having the resources, the funds, or assistance or knowing are rights her parental rights were taken from her with only one of her children which he is a twin also. We have been battling this case for 2 years now and I need advice or some type of direction on what we should do. We need help thank you. This case has been weird from the beginning, along with social services not even contacting any family member they rather him jus stay in the system? When we as the family tried to contact someone we never received any calls back on how we are selves could go about getting the child. They wouldn’t even provide the reason or grounds for cancelling her parental rights for one child let alone he was born sick. Drs states he may not even live past 18 so as the family why keep him apart from his twin brother, siblings and mother. Every day should be cherished. Parental Rights are important for the mother child and the family. We have tried to get the social worker to do the interstate compact for years now but no one has done it. Now that the child is in the system I’m taken it upon myself to try to fight this case and do the interstate compact now that the child is in the system in another state. I currently live in DC, MD.
