I can understand your frustration and concern. I do hope that you and your husband plan to take all of the children instead of allowing them to go to strangers. The children have been through enough if what you say is true.

Beliueve me we have tried this. In so many ways. We have talked to both the mother and father. Even in one instance she and I had a conversation and I "calmly" pleaded with her to try a different method of discipline and she even said your probably right. I explained to her it was not a matter of me being right. It was simply a matter of trying to improve the relationship between her and her kids. It lasted all but 20 minutes and she was back in the saddle again.

I am not just talking about hitting and screaming but demeaning and name calling. To the tune of sacs of sh_t, b_tches, worthless peices of crap, and one of the worst N_gger.

I understand where you are coming from but there is so much more to my brief explanation.

There is history of the same treatment with her older two sons. We are just finding out so much more now.

Myself, my mother, my father, her two sons, and my husband, we have all tried talking to her. They have lost friends for the same reason, their treatment of the girls. No one has stepped in before now except with talking.

The girls went to their therapist with the abuse and the therapist merely told them to try and avoid their parents.

Yes, there is indeed the children's side to the CPS story. While there is no doubt that children in need of protection are and have been left behind, perhaps you should look more into what does actually happen to the children in CPS custody and hear those children's side of the story. If your sister and her husband were truly being abusive the their adoptive children, maybe an intervention at the family level would have been more appropriate to begin with. Just a few suggestions....
